A free online whiteboard with an infinite canvas: draw with a pressure-sensitive pen, add lines, arrows, rectangles, ellipses, text and images, then pan and zoom as far as you need. Keep several boards, present in full screen and export to PNG, SVG or PDF. It works with a mouse, finger or stylus and needs no account.
How to use
- Pick a tool at the bottom of the board and draw with a mouse, finger or stylus. A stylus draws thicker lines when you press harder.
- Pick a color and stroke width under the board. With objects selected, a new color or width applies to them.
- Drag with two fingers, the Pan tool or Space + drag to move around. Pinch, Ctrl + scroll or the zoom buttons to zoom.
- Use Select to move, resize (bottom-right handle) or delete objects. Drop or paste an image to place it on the board.
- Export the board as PNG, SVG, PDF or JSON. Boards keeps several boards and reopens your last one.
- Boards are saved automatically in this browser on this device (IndexedDB). Nothing is uploaded. Export JSON to keep a copy or open the board on another device.
- When a stylus is in use, touches with your palm or fingers pan the board instead of drawing.
- Ink color adapts to dark mode on screen; exports use dark ink on white unless you choose a dark background.
- Double-click text to edit it. Press Esc or Ctrl+Enter to finish typing.
What you can do on the board
Ten tools sit at the bottom: select, pan, pen, highlighter, eraser, line, arrow, rectangle, ellipse and text. With a stylus, the pen draws thicker lines the harder you press, and touches from your palm pan the board instead of leaving marks. The eraser removes whole strokes or shapes it touches, so a drawing never ends up half erased.
Hold Shift to snap lines and arrows to 15° steps and to draw perfect squares or circles. Paste or drop an image to place it on the board. Switch the background between dots, grid and plain with G, which helps for diagrams, lessons and sketches alike.
Saving, exporting and privacy
Boards are saved automatically in your browser's storage (IndexedDB) on this device, and the last board reopens next time. Nothing is uploaded, which also means there is no live collaboration: to share a board, export it. PNG and PDF are images for sending or printing, SVG keeps the drawing as scalable vector shapes, and JSON is a full copy you can open again later or on another device.
Frequently asked questions
Is this online whiteboard free?
Yes, free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on boards. Everything runs in your browser.
Can several people draw on the same board?
Not at the same time. Boards stay on your device; export as PNG or PDF to share, or as JSON so someone else can open and edit it.
Does the whiteboard support pen pressure?
Yes. With a stylus such as Apple Pencil or a Wacom pen, lines get thicker as you press harder, and your palm is ignored while drawing.
Where are my boards saved?
In this browser on this device. Clearing site data deletes them, so export JSON if you want a backup.
How do I zoom and move around?
Pinch with two fingers, use Ctrl + scroll or the zoom buttons. Drag with two fingers, hold Space and drag, or pick the Pan tool to move.
Can I use it for teaching on a projector?
Yes. Turn on the grid, press F for full screen and draw; export the result as PDF to hand out after class.
