Time zone and daylight saving rules can change, so confirm important times with the people involved.

A dim desk clock with soft amber digits on a black background, designed for a bedside table, a desk or an old tablet on a stand. Seconds are off for a calm display, and Stay on keeps the screen from sleeping while the page is open.

How to use

  1. The clock starts right away with your device’s time.
  2. Pick a face: Digital, Flip or Analog. Turn seconds, 24-hour time and the date on or off.
  3. Choose a theme: Dark, Light, Color or the dim Desk look for a bedside table.
  4. Pick a city to show another time zone, then press Full screen. Move the mouse or tap to bring the controls back.
  • The time comes from your device’s clock, so it is as accurate as your device.
  • Stay on keeps the screen awake while the page is visible (Screen Wake Lock, on supported browsers).
  • Your choices are remembered in this browser. Double-click the clock to switch full screen.

Pick a face

Digital uses large digits of equal width, so the display does not shift as numbers change. Flip animates split-flap cards like an old station board. Analog draws a round face with a smoothly sweeping second hand. Switch with the 1, 2 and 3 keys, toggle seconds with S, 12/24 hours with H and the date with D.

Uses for a full-screen clock

Put it on a TV during an exam or a presentation, on a spare monitor next to your work, on a tablet as a bedside clock, in a shop window or behind a stream. In a classroom, the analog face helps children practise reading the time. For a countdown to an end time, use the timer instead.

Accuracy and the screen

The time comes from your device clock, which phones and computers normally synchronize with network time servers, so it is as accurate as the device. Choose another time zone to show the time somewhere else.

Stay on uses the Screen Wake Lock API to keep the display from sleeping while the page is visible, on browsers that support it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make the clock full screen?

Press F or the full-screen button. Press Esc to leave. On phones, rotating to landscape gives the biggest digits.

Can the clock stay on all night?

Yes, while the page stays open and visible. Turn on Stay on so the screen does not sleep, and choose the dim Desk theme to keep the light low.

Can I show the time in another time zone?

Yes. Pick a time zone in the settings and the clock shows that place’s time, with daylight saving time applied.

Is the clock accurate?

It shows your device’s clock, which is usually synchronized over the internet. If your device clock is wrong, correct it in the system settings.

Does it remember my settings?

Yes. Face, theme, seconds, 12/24-hour format and date are saved in this browser.
