Invoice requirements differ by country. Check your local tax and invoicing rules before sending.
Choose between three invoice templates, from minimal to modern, add your logo and brand color, and switch layouts with one tap without retyping anything. Every template prints cleanly on A4 or Letter and exports a text-based PDF ready to email.
How to use
- Enter your business details and add your logo. They are saved on this device for the next invoice.
- Add the client, invoice number, dates and line items with quantity, price, tax % and discount %.
- Pick a template, color, currency and invoice language. The preview and totals update as you type.
- Download the PDF or print it. Tap New invoice to start the next one with the number increased by one.
- Invoice rules differ by country (required fields, VAT or GST wording, numbering). Check what your local tax office requires.
- Everything stays in this browser: your details, logo and draft are stored locally and never uploaded.
- Text in the PDF is real text in every script, including Korean, Japanese and Cyrillic, so it can be selected, copied and searched. The font for these scripts loads only when a document needs it.
- Tax is calculated per line after the line discount.
What an invoice usually contains
Most invoices need your business name and address, the client’s details, a unique invoice number, the issue date and due date, a description of each item or service with quantity and unit price, the tax rate and amount, and the total due. Many countries also require a tax or VAT number and specific wording, so check what your local tax office expects before you send.
How the totals are calculated
Each line is quantity × unit price, minus the line discount, plus tax on the discounted amount. Example: 10 hours at 50 with a 10 % discount is 450; 20 % tax adds 90, so the line total is 540. The subtotal, discounts, tax and grand total are summed below the lines and update as you type.
Set the currency and invoice language separately, so you can bill a client abroad in their currency and language while keeping your own details.
Numbering, templates and sending
Use a consistent, sequential numbering scheme such as 2026-001, 2026-002; many tax rules require numbers without gaps. Choose one of the templates and a brand color, download the PDF and attach it to an email. Text in the PDF is real text in every script, including Korean, Japanese and Cyrillic, so it can be searched and copied.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make an invoice for free?
Enter your details and the client’s, add line items, choose a currency and template, and download the PDF. There is no sign-up, limit or watermark.
Is the invoice legally valid?
An invoice is valid when it contains the information your country requires, such as numbering, dates, tax details and wording. The generator gives you the fields; check your local rules for what must be included.
Are my business details saved?
Yes, on this device only. Your details, logo and draft are stored in this browser so the next invoice is quicker, and nothing is uploaded to a server.
How is tax calculated with a discount?
Tax is calculated per line after the line discount. A line of 500 with 10 % discount and 20 % tax comes to 450 + 90 = 540.
Can I invoice in another currency or language?
Yes. Choose any currency and set the invoice language independently of the page language, for example a French-language invoice in euros.
How do I number my invoices?
Start with a format like 2026-001 and keep it sequential. New invoice increases the last number by one automatically.
