Add a copyright line or your name to photos before posting them: type “© 2026 Name”, pick a font and color, and drag the opacity to about 40 %. Place it in any of nine positions and apply it to a whole shoot at once.
How to use
- Drop your photos on the card, tap to choose, or paste with Ctrl+V. A sample shows the watermark until you add your own.
- Type your text and pick font, color and size. Turn on Logo to add an image, such as a transparent PNG.
- Set opacity and rotation, then tap a spot in the position grid, or choose Tiled to repeat the mark across the whole image.
- Download the current photo, or all of them as a ZIP. Pick the output format and quality if you need a specific one.
- Sizes and margins are relative to each image’s shorter side, so a batch with mixed sizes gets the same look.
- Photos are turned upright using their EXIF orientation before the watermark is added.
- The original resolution is kept. JPG output fills transparent areas with white.
- Everything runs in your browser. Photos and logos are never uploaded.
Text, logo or both
A text mark such as “© 2026 Your Name” or a website address is the quickest option. A logo, ideally a transparent PNG, looks more professional and keeps its soft edges. You can combine both. Sizes and margins are measured relative to each image’s shorter side, so a batch of portrait and landscape photos in different resolutions gets the same look everywhere.
Visible but not distracting
An opacity of 30 to 50 % keeps the mark readable without covering the picture. White text with slight transparency works on most photos; on bright images, a dark mark or a lower position reads better.
A small mark in a corner is easy to crop out. If protection matters more than looks, place the mark over the subject or use the tiled pattern, which repeats the text diagonally across the whole image.
Quality and formats
The original resolution is kept and photos are turned upright from their EXIF orientation before the mark is drawn. Choose JPG for photos or PNG for graphics; JPG output fills transparent areas with white. Nothing is uploaded, so unpublished photos stay private.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add a watermark to many photos at once?
Drop all the photos, set up the watermark once on the preview, then download all of them as a ZIP. Each photo gets the same mark scaled to its own size.
What opacity should a watermark have?
Around 30 to 50 % is a common choice: clearly visible, but the photo still shows through. Use more for proof images you send to clients before payment.
Can I use my logo as a watermark?
Yes. Turn on Logo and choose an image file. A PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result.
Can a watermark be removed?
A small corner mark can simply be cropped off, and editing tools can paint over simple marks. A tiled or centered watermark across the subject is much harder to remove.
Does adding a watermark reduce photo quality?
The resolution stays the same. JPG output is re-encoded at the quality you choose, so pick a high quality for photos you plan to print.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The watermark is drawn in your browser, and photos and logos never leave your device.
