Each click, tap or key press adds one, with a custom step such as 5 or 10 if you count in batches. Keep several named counters side by side, see their total, and set a target that alerts you; counts stay saved when you close the page.
How to use
- Tap the big area or press + to count. − takes one back.
- Open the settings button to rename the counter, change the step (±1, ±5, ±10 …) or set a target. You get a sound and vibration when the target is reached.
- Add counters for different things; tap a row to make it the big one. The total of all counters is shown below.
- Reset sets the current counter to zero; Undo brings back any change.
- Counts are saved in this browser, so you can close the page and keep counting later.
- The people counter shows In, Out and how many are inside (In − Out).
- The screen stays on while the counter is open (on browsers that support Screen Wake Lock).
What people count with it
Common uses are visitors at a door, laps in a pool or on a track, repetitions in a workout, birds or cars in a survey, stitches and rows in knitting, stock on a shelf and votes in a show of hands. With several counters you can count categories side by side, such as adults and children, and read the total underneath.
Tally marks and steps
Next to the number, the count is drawn as tally marks in groups of five, the way you would on paper, which makes it easy to read at a glance. The step can be 1, 5, 10 or any custom value for counting in batches, and minus takes one step back.
Undo (Ctrl+Z) reverses the last change, so a double tap is easy to fix.
Built for long sessions
The screen stays awake while the counter is open on browsers that support it, the count survives closing the tab, and keyboard keys work as a clicker: Space, Up or Enter to add, Down or minus to subtract.
