19 hours is 68,400 seconds, or 1140 minutes. Start at 7:45 and you are done at 2:45 the next day. For long stretches the timer counts toward a fixed end time, so it stays exact in a background tab.

How to use

  1. Set the time: drag the ring, scroll or drag the numbers, or click a number and type it.
  2. Or tap a preset such as 5 min.
  3. Press Start. The ring empties as time runs out and the end time is shown under the digits.
  4. When time is up an alarm rings until you press Stop. Turn on Repeat to loop the timer.
  • The timer counts toward a fixed end time, so it stays accurate even when the tab is in the background.
  • Stopwatch laps show the best lap in green and the slowest in red. Copy all laps as plain text.
  • Pomodoro runs 4 focus rounds with short breaks and a long break. Scroll the numbers before starting to change a phase length.

How the countdown works

When you press Start, the timer stores the exact moment it should end and redraws the remaining time from that, instead of counting ticks. Browsers slow down hidden tabs, but the end time does not move, so a 20-minute timer still rings after 20 minutes. The end time is shown under the digits, and the tab title shows the time left.

If you reload the page, a running timer continues where it was. When it ends, the alarm repeats until you press Stop, and Repeat starts the same length again for intervals.

Ways to set the time

Drag the ring, scroll the hour, minute and second wheels, click a number and type, or tap a preset from 30 seconds to 1 hour. Each length also has its own page, such as /7-minutes or /90-minutes, which opens with that time already set and can be bookmarked.

Classroom, kitchen and workout tips

For a class or meeting, use full screen (F) so the digits fill the projector, and turn on Stay on so the screen does not dim. In the kitchen, +1 min extends a timer without stopping it. For interval training, set the work length, turn on Repeat and let the alarm mark each round.

Frequently asked questions

Will the timer ring if I switch tabs?

Yes. It counts toward a fixed end time, so it stays accurate in a background tab and the alarm plays when time is up, as long as the browser is open and the device is not asleep.

What is the longest time I can set?

Up to 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. For a date further away, use the countdown tool, which counts to any date and time.

Why is there no sound?

Browsers block audio until you interact with the page once. Press Start or tap anywhere, check that Sound is on and that the device is not muted.

Can I keep the screen on while the timer runs?

Yes. The Stay on option asks the browser to keep the screen awake while the page is visible, on browsers that support the Screen Wake Lock API.

Does the timer work offline?

Once the page has loaded it runs entirely in your browser, so it keeps working if the connection drops. Nothing about your timers is sent anywhere.

How do I add time to a running timer?

Press +1 min. The minute is added to the end time without pausing the countdown.
