Winner

Pick a random number from 1 to 50: each of the 50 values has a 1 in 50 chance (2%). Set How many above 1 to draw several, and turn on Unique to avoid repeats. Handy for class lists, raffle tickets and test questions.

How to use

  1. Type or paste names into the list, one per line. Names, Wheel and Teams share this list, and it is saved on this device.
  2. Names: choose how many winners and press Pick. Turn on Remove picked to draw without repeats.
  3. Wheel: press Spin, tap the wheel or flick it with your finger or mouse. The winner opens in a sheet where you can remove it or spin again.
  4. Number: set min, max and how many, then press Generate. Unique avoids repeats and Sorted orders the results.
  5. Dice: choose a die from d4 to d100 and 1–10 dice, then Roll to see every value and the total.
  6. Coin: tap the coin to flip it. Teams: choose the number of teams or people per team and press Make teams.
  • Every result comes from crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, so each name, number and face is exactly equally likely.
  • On the wheel the winner is drawn fairly the moment the spin starts. How hard you flick only changes the show, never the odds.
  • Your list, options and history stay in this browser. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Sound and vibration only start after you tap and can be switched off. Vibration works on most Android phones.

Unique or with repeats

With Unique turned on, each number appears at most once, like drawing numbered balls from a bag; you can draw up to the size of the range. With Unique off, numbers are drawn independently, like rolling a die again and again, so repeats are normal: drawing 10 numbers from 1 to 100 gives at least one repeat about 37% of the time.

Sorted puts the results in ascending order, which is easier to read for raffles and sample lists.

Why it is fair

Numbers come from crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling. A plain remainder trick would favor some numbers slightly when the range does not divide the generator’s size evenly; rejection sampling removes that bias, so in 1 to 6 each value has exactly 1 in 6.

Negative ranges work too, for example −10 to 10. Everything runs in your browser; your list and history are saved on this device only.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pick a random number between 1 and 100?

Set the minimum to 1 and the maximum to 100, then press Generate. Each number has a 1 in 100 chance.

Can I generate several numbers without repeats?

Yes. Set How many and turn on Unique. You can draw as many unique numbers as the range holds.

Is this random number generator truly random?

It uses the browser’s cryptographic random source with rejection sampling, which is unpredictable and has no bias toward any value.

Can I use negative numbers?

Yes. Any whole-number minimum and maximum work, for example −50 to 50.

Can I use it to draw raffle tickets?

Yes. Set the range to your ticket numbers, choose how many winners and turn on Unique so no ticket wins twice.
