Winner

Spin a yes or no wheel with two equal halves, so each answer has exactly a 50% chance. The result is drawn fairly the moment the spin starts; how hard you flick only changes the animation. Add a Maybe slice to the list if you want three outcomes at 33.3% each.

How to use

  1. Type or paste names into the list, one per line. Names, Wheel and Teams share this list, and it is saved on this device.
  2. Names: choose how many winners and press Pick. Turn on Remove picked to draw without repeats.
  3. Wheel: press Spin, tap the wheel or flick it with your finger or mouse. The winner opens in a sheet where you can remove it or spin again.
  4. Number: set min, max and how many, then press Generate. Unique avoids repeats and Sorted orders the results.
  5. Dice: choose a die from d4 to d100 and 1–10 dice, then Roll to see every value and the total.
  6. Coin: tap the coin to flip it. Teams: choose the number of teams or people per team and press Make teams.
  • Every result comes from crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, so each name, number and face is exactly equally likely.
  • On the wheel the winner is drawn fairly the moment the spin starts. How hard you flick only changes the show, never the odds.
  • Your list, options and history stay in this browser. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Sound and vibration only start after you tap and can be switched off. Vibration works on most Android phones.

Fair, not just pretty

Every slice is the same size and has exactly the same chance: with 8 entries each has 12.5%. The result is chosen with cryptographic randomness when the wheel starts; the speed of your flick only changes how long the animation runs, never the odds.

To weight an option, add it twice. Two lines of Pizza among six entries give it 2 in 6, or 33.3%.

Using the wheel

After each spin the winner opens in a sheet where you can remove it from the wheel or spin again, which is handy for raffles with several prizes or for calling on every student once. The wheel stays readable with large lists, a tick sound follows each slice, and both sound and vibration can be switched off.

Everything runs in your browser; your list and history are saved on this device only.

Frequently asked questions

Is the spin the wheel result random?

Yes. The winner is drawn with the browser’s cryptographic random generator at the start of the spin. Every slice has the same chance.

Does flicking harder change the result?

No. The winner is already decided when the wheel starts turning; a stronger flick only makes the animation longer.

How do I remove a name after it wins?

Tap Remove in the result sheet. The wheel redraws without that entry and you can spin again.

Can I make one option more likely?

Yes. Add the same option on more than one line. Each line is a slice, so two lines double its chance.

How many entries can the wheel hold?

There is no fixed limit. With very long lists the labels get small, but every entry stays on the wheel with the same chance.
